NAPro – Max Interface Tutorial

June 20th, 2006 by Garth

An interesting approach to synchronising Max/MSP with an acoustic instrument or ensemble. NAPro - Max Interface Tutorial

I saw this being demonstrated at NIME in Paris in June, and was very impressed with the way in which this allowed an intuative approach to composition with parameter manipulation in realtime tightly synchronised to the score. The print output from Note Ability Pro was also on par with Finale etc - highy reccomended for a look.

OptiTrack Cameras

June 7th, 2006 by Garth

A very cool video camera with motion tracking of up to 26 heads built inOptiTrack

This camera can do up to 120 frames/sec and has inbuilt DSP to track up to 26 markers, delivering data over USB to a host computer - and they are relatively cheap at about US$200

Cheers
